New Launch

Debut for Maritimo’s Revolutionary X60 Sport Yacht

Australian motoryacht builder Maritimo has just premiered its game-changing X60 at the 30th edition of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show held on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The 19.42 meter/63.9 foot yacht is the first in Maritimo’s new X-series and the company already has a number of hulls under construction thanks to a rush of early sales. Also in the works is the next X-series model, the X50, which Maritimo is keeping under close wraps until her planned debut at the Sydney International Boat Show in 2019.

Maritimo lead designer Tom Barry-Cotter attributes the advanced success of the X60 to the versatile design and the ample accommodation space compared to similar motor yachts of this size. Owners will enjoy the ability to pick and choose from Maritimo’s ample list of custom features to create a boat perfectly suited to their needs. Options include an extra guest cabin which can be accessed directly from the saloon and the sea level swim platform or the possibility to configure this space as a stylish beach club or functional tender garage.

Tom Barry-Cotter remarked that, “The additional aft cabin is completely unique and is resonating with buyers within the sport motor yacht market. Its ability to add extra accommodation space that is similar in size to an additional master cabin in terms of volume is clearly something special”.

As well as the generous interior spaces and flexible customization options, the X60’s other star feature is her performance capabilities. Thanks to her innovative shaft-driven hull and Scania 925hp engines, her top speed is an impressive 34 knots. Her intelligent hull design and thoughtful weight distribution also offers incredible fuel efficiency with a consumption rate of less than 100L/h recorded while cruising at 27 knots.

The X60 is expected to make a series of appearances across Australia, New Zealand and the United States over the rest of the year where she is sure to wow the sports yacht industry. Those interesting in learning more about the X60 or the upcoming X50 should contact Spencer Ship Monaco which is responsible for Maritimo sales in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
