Against a backdrop of glorious sunshine and glitzy skyscrapers, the Dubai International Boat Show offers over 400 gorgeous vessels on display and 800 brands in attendance over the 5-day event. Now in its 27th year, the event will take place over February 26th to March 2nd and covers everything from high-end superyachts and luxury lifestyle brands to watersports competitions and the ever-popular supercar promenade.

As expected for the region’s premier yacht event, the Dubai International Boat Show draws attendees and vessels from all over the globe. Unmissable yachts for this year include the 90.91-foot/27.71-meter Hanaa¬†built by Dominator Yachts in 2017, the new Riva 110 Dolcevita, and the Gulf Craft Majesty 140 C’est La Vie. Also on hand will be the world’s most important superyacht builders like Oceanco, Heesen, Amels, CRN, and Feadship for visitors to view their latest projects and to make enquiries about existing or new builds.

When you’re ready for a little downtime, don’t miss the Nikki Beach lounge pop-up and the Marina Art Gallery. There will also be plenty of more active entertainment like the Fly Board Championship and the UAE International Aqua Bike Championship as well as a dedicated watersports village where kids and adults can have a go at kayaking, paddle boarding and use underwater scooters.

Another big draw is the stunning setting for the Dubai Boat Show, the impressive Dubai Canal which was inaugurated in 2016 and has transformed this part of the city by adding 6.4 km/4 miles of gorgeous waterfront to some of Dubai’s most popular neighborhoods. The show is conveniently located right next to the Dubai Ladies Club and The Four Seasons resort on the Jumeirah Road, making it easy to get to from the city’s main hotels and attractions.

There is plenty of parking available for visitors directly at the venue, but for those who don’t feel like driving there are also ample public transport options. Show attendees can travel for free on the RTA Water Taxis which will leave from Habtoor City water station for the event venue between 2pm and 11pm each day of the show. If you want to indulge in a spot of shopping before heading to the show, there are also free shuttle buses running from Dubai Mall to the show from 3pm to 10pm.

In Dubai the sky is truly the limit when it comes to choosing your accommodation. The show has partnered with a number of top hotels in the city to offer preferential rates or special packages to show visitors. Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai is a great option for those looking to enjoy a relaxing yet luxurious stay with gorgeous views out over the Arabian Gulf, a stunning spa and a useful location close to the city’s malls and major attractions.

If your tastes are more traditional, why not consider the opulent Habtoor Palace by Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts which is conveniently located on the Dubai Canal. This magnificent property boasts 52 suites, butler service for all guests, three pools, and access to a private beach. Excellent amenities and access to a helipad make this the ideal choice for visitors looking to make the most of the event while having a comfortable retreat to relax and unwind in after the long days at the show.

For those planning to combine a visit to the show with experiencing the best that Dubai has to offer, the city has a huge range of attractions to keep you entertained. Enjoy a slice of culture and catch a performance at the majestic Dubai Opera or learn about Dubai’s fascinating history at the Etihad Museum which tells the story of the UAE’s founding and subsequent development into the regional powerhouse it is today.

Early spring is also the perfect moment to make the most of the city’s luxurious beach clubs. Hotspots include Summersalt at Jumeirah Al Naseem which offers gorgeous views of the Burj Al Arab and the trendy Club Vista Mare set on the eastern shores of Palm Jumeirah and is home to a total of seven different restaurants which each have beachside service and ample loungers to soak up some rays while you dine.
