This year marks a milestone for this global show highlighting power, sail, charter, and technology exhibitions in a beautiful Miami Beach location. Actually, the Feb 13-17, 2014 show spans several locations, filling the Miami Beach Convention Center, Sea Isle Marina, Miamarina @ Bayside, along the Indian Creek Waterway.
The show covers 1.2 million square feet, filling a full mile along the waterfront of Indian Creek, and will feature 500 new and pre-owned boats with values over $1 million. More than 2,000 exhibitors showing more than 3,000 boats, the new Superyacht Miami enclave will harbor 60 superyachts of 100 feet or more. The new feature will be located at 300 Alton Road, adjacent to Government Cut, and will be find luxury transport between the Marina and the brokerage show on Collins Ave.
Participating brokers include Worth Avenue Yachts, Camper & Nicholsons, HMY, Northrop & Johnson, Merle Wood & Associates, and Burgess Yachts. In addition to one of the stars of the show, Delta Design Group’s Motor Yacht Arianna, yacht builders Azimut, Benetti, Christensen, Feadship, Ferretti, and Westport Marine will present the best and the brightest from current lineups.
Wider Yachts, created by Tilli Antonelli, founder of Pershing, will provide insight into his 150 ft semi displacement hull dream, featuring a 7m pool revealed when the 33 ft tender goes out to play. Dovetailing innovative technology with Italian aesthetics, Wider will delight this niche market with a unique yacht that has a cruise speed of 16 kts with a range of 1700 nm, extended to 6,000 nm at 10 kts, powered by two electric engines.
