The first in-water boat show of the 2015-2016 international yachting calendar, the Cannes Yachting Festival, will welcome attendees from the 8th to the 13th of Sept, 2015. Yachtsmen wishing to enjoy sea trials at the helm of prospective purchases can view 550 boats, 93 of which will be world premieres, displayed for the first time in the new season during this prestigious show.
Azimut Benetti will present four world premiere yachts at the show. Additional first looks include the Baglietto 43 Pachamama, the 32 meter Southern Wind sailing yacht Seawave, the second Overmarine Mangusta 110, the Magazzo SRL MXII Coupe Rib Tender, O Yachts Catamaran Class 4, the Sanlorenzo SL 118, the Oyster Marine 825 Deck Saloon, the Riviera Belize 54, and the SUV, sport utility vessel, 90 by Canados, among many others.
At Le Vieux Port de Cannes, seven areas will support displays for yachts between 5 and 55 meters, both in water and on land. Shipyards, banks, high end services, and yachting activities will be represented, with tender and toy areas outside the Palais des Festivals. In Port Pierre Conto, a special collection of pre-owned yachts, over half of which will exceed 30 meters, will be offered for sale and charter. Access to all areas will be served by water taxis, with special VIP service available.
Also on view at the 2015 Cannes show, a model of the “La Terrasse” showcase of luxury products, properties, and services appropriate to those engaged in yachting pursuits, will preview the display planned for the 2016 event. Ocean yachts, automobiles, private jets, luxury property, watches, jewelry, couture, and technology will figure into the mix, providing an exceptional opportunity to see new products at this early season show prior to display at any other venue.
Also during this 38th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, the first ever Concours d’Elegance will present motor and day boats under 12 meters, on parade in Le Vieux Port de Cannes, Thursday, 10 September. Judging by a distinguished jury will categorize boats into three divisions: those produced before 1975, those produced between 1976 and 2000, and those produced after 2000, celebrated by a cocktail awards ceremony at the VIP Club.
Supported by 160 media partners and 480 exhibitors, the show is expected to host 50,000 visitors during the six days of events.
