While summer sailing is definitely a time to forget the minutes and hours, we’ve put together a collection of the most tantalising timepieces so you can enjoy watching time go by. These watches are not compatible with business and board meetings, but rather, sailing, sunshine and summer in general.

We’ve selected the lightest and brightest watches from the most recognized and admired watchmaking experts and designers to ensure you’re stylishly on time.

A watch for both men and women, Gucci continues to push boundaries and innovate: case in point, the unique woven dial embroidered with one of the house’s current motifs – the honeybee. The textile adds depth to the piece, while removing the complications and complexities of a modern watch. The signature Gucci red and green make this piece instantly recognizable and the calf leather strap adds a well-traveled element.

Inspired by the world of sailing, the Tambour watch is part of the official Louis Vuitton America’s Cup collection. The strap is in classic LV damier, with a reinterpretation of the Gaston V signature and the America’s Cup animation signature. A bold, sporty piece with a chronograph function, this timepiece is a reflection of your lifestyle.

We love limited edition pieces, so we were delighted when we discovered only 250 of the new watches Hublot had added to it’s Big Bang collection would be available. This is a masterpiece: the case, bezel and back are cut from a block of red sapphire but are extremely lightweight. The bright color gives the watch and the wearer a casual and sporty, yet masculine look. The movement is the in-house Hublot automatic flyback chrono movement which gives a power reserve of three days.

The Lady-Datejust first appeared in the 1950s and has only improved with the reimagining of the classic over the decades. The 2017 model is to die for. The timepiece brings summery elegance to the wearer’s wrist with the soft pink coloured dial. The new Lady-Datejust is equipped with a new generation self-winding movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.

We’ve admired Chanel’s J12 line for years – especially now that it comes with an irreverent twist. A clever silhouette of Mademoiselle Chanel points to the time on this gleaming white ceramic watch. Bright and clean for summer, this is a fun way to keep track of the days sailing by. And our most favorite feature: it’s limited to 555 pieces.
