To complement Tudor’s wide selection of popular sports watches, the brand recently launched the revamped Glamour Double Date collection of dress watches. And as an official retailer of Tudor, we are happy to welcome some new dressier Tudor timepieces at Packouz Jewelry to sit alongside the sportier Tudor models such as the Black Bay and the Pelagos. Those familiar with Tudor will recognize the Glamour Double Date name, however, the fresh new models have been given an overhaul, complete with a new in-house movement.
The Tudor Glamour Double Date Design
The Glamour Double Date collection by Tudor offers a range of elegant watches that can be enjoyed every day. Sporting generous 42 mm case sizes and appealing double bezel details, the Glamour Double Date watches combine timeless aesthetics with modern tastes. The clear and legible dials are well balanced with the signature pair of windows displaying the date at 12 o’clock, the running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, and the duo of luminous hands right at the center.
Although refined in style, the Glamour Double Date watches are also robust and durable in construction to keep up with active lifestyles. Not only is every watch in the collection water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), but they also come equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protecting the face of the watch.
In true Tudor fashion, the Glamour Double Date offers plenty of variety. In addition to the choice between stainless steel cases and two-tone steel and yellow gold cases, there are also dial color options and bracelet material selections. Plus, for those who want to add even more fancy to their dress watch, there are also a few diamond-set dials to choose from.
Tudor Manufacture Caliber MT5641
Flip the watch around and you’ll get a view of the movement powering the Glamour Double Date via the transparent caseback. Powering the latest Glamour Double Date watches is the new Tudor Manufacture Caliber MT5641 automatic mechanical movement—built entirely in-house. Not that many watch brands develop and produce their own movements; it’s much more common for companies to rely on others to make the engines that power their watches. So in-house movement manufacturing from the likes of Tudor and Rolex emphasizes how dedicated these brands are to the art and science of watchmaking.
The Caliber MT5641 is chronometer-certified by the Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), ensuring the Glamour Double Date watches’ precision, accuracy, and reliability. It’s important to note that only about 3% of Swiss-made watches are COSC-certified each year.
As automatic watches, the Glamour Double Date models will continue to work as long as you wear them. However, should you decide to take them off, they will continue to run for 70 hours off the wrist before needing some winding to get going again.
With an appealing mix of topnotch design, everyday practicality, accessible price points, and the prestige of a chronometer certified in-house movement, Tudor is offering unbeatable value with the new Glamour Double Date collection. And judging by how it looks on David Beckham’s wrist, it’s safe to say that this Tudor lineup will be a hit.
