Capturing the hyper car image is extremely difficult in the modern era through the ever changing demand and requirement that is created from consumers. However, Pagani has created the perfect positioning in the automotive market as one of the most exclusive automobile manufactures and has captured an extremely difficult niche. The Zonda was the definition of how hypercars should look like, through the same mentality Pagani have created the Huayra.

The Huayra name is derived from a legendary tale of the God of Wind, Huayra Tata; befittingly this God commands the winds and blizzards. The Huayra was designed with such greatness in mind. The styling of this car is unmatched, it took five years of development with multiple scale models being created and this resulted in an absolute masterpiece of a creation. The aesthetic design of the Huayra is something that other manufactures are truly envious of. Previous features have been carried over from the Zonda that proved to be successful such as the Bi-Xenon headlights. The rear bumper has been molded so that it integrates the diffuser as well as the signatory four central exhaust pipes.

The monocoque of the Huayra’s body has been created with a blend of Carbon and Titanium. Even with the complicated door designs the company was able to create a rigid structure that would keep the car stable through high speed cornering. Pagani ensured that the maximum level of structural soundness was followed without compromising the level of weight that would be added to the car.  Furthermore, active aerodynamic flaps have been added to the front and rear of the car that deploy when there is a difference in air pressure over the car, these act as stabilizers that create a greater down force on the car allowing the driver to maintain a higher level of control through high speed cornering.

The interior of the car instills the feeling of being in a spaceship; the level of luxury that has been expended is extraordinary. Magnesium and Aluminum have been used to create the pedals and indicator stocks. The leather quality is sublime and the attention to detail can be seen through the stitching.

The engine that powers the mighty Huayra is developed by Mercedes AMG division.  They have re-tuned the power unit that was used in the Zonda R to produce more power and torque then any of Pagani’s previous models. The 6.0 liter V12 engine is aided by twin turbos which in turn produces over 700 horsepower and nearly 1000 Nm of torque.  This engine is mated to a transverse sequential seven speed gearbox ensuring that the power is distributed evenly and effectively.
