Hugely popular with adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers, the 180.5ft (55m) Driftwood is the perfect choice for an adventurous charter experience thanks to her treasure trove of water toys and top-rated sports amenities. Built by AMELS in 2017, she comes equipped with her very own 19-meter chase boat named Quickwood which is ideal for seeking out remote dive spots or simply hopping from one gorgeous beach to the next.

Amenities

Driftwood’s long list of amenities includes everything from a large jacuzzi pool with panoramic views perfect for catching the sunset to an outdoor cinema screen and a large swim platform for quick dips in the sea or heading off on paddleboarding excursions. With one of the most comprehensive water toy selections on the charter market, active guests will be spoilt for choice. Choose from jet skis, kite surfing, wakeboards and seabobs to name just a few, or set out on her chase boat in search of the ultimate surf break or a spot of spearfishing. There’s also plenty of kid-friendly activities including a giant inflatable slide, snorkeling kit and a ping pong table.

When it’s finally time to relax, favorite downtime spots include her cocoon sunbeds on the spacious sun deck and a stunning alfresco dining table with beautiful views out over the ocean which is perfect for long, lazy family lunches or socializing with close friends. When evening falls, gather around her bespoke fire pit tables on her upper deck for sunset cocktails.

Exterior

Built on the AMELS 180 platform, Driftwood’s sleek exterior lines are the work of legendary yacht designer Tim Heywood whose work can be seen on some of the world’s largest superyachts. Heywood has made the most of her exterior spaces, turning them into the key focus of life onboard with ample space for entertaining and relaxing al fresco after a busy and active day at sea. Driftwood also delivers on performance with a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500nm when cruising at a steady 13 knots.

Interior

Driftwood’s gorgeous interiors have been styled by Parisian designer Remi Tessier whose award-winning work can be seen on some of the most stylish yachts on the seas including Feadship’s 327ft/99.95m Moonrise and Heesen Yachts’ 164ft/50m SatoriTessier’s design approach embraces simplicity, allowing the function to determine the form and favoring clean, clear lines drawn with laser-sharp precision. Onboard Driftwood Tessier has taken inspiration from her bright and breezy deck areas to harness an alfresco aesthetic that brings unity and flow as guests move from her exterior to her interior spaces.

Throughout there are echoes of outside living thanks to the bright neutrals and beach house chic which is brought to life with bright pops of color on pillows and accent pieces. In her main lounge and dining spaces, subtle ceiling lighting and strip lighting at floor level complements the vibrant natural light pouring in from the full-length windows, balanced out by statement wooden coffee tables and tasteful artwork. Tessier’s light and elegant styling give her interiors a harmonious and relaxed ambiance that provokes a deep connection with the sea and her outside living spaces.

Accommodation

Driftwood’s flexible layout features five spacious guest suites, which can receive a total of twelve guests and can be configured in a variety of different ways to match charter guests’ specific requirements. The highlight is her expansive full-beam master suite which has its own private balcony perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or a romantic sundowner secluded from the rest of the yacht. The master suite also has its own dedicated office space for catching up on paperwork with a Pullman bed ideal keeping staff or children close at hand, large ensuite bathroom and a full-sized walk-in wardrobe.

Driftwood’s four other guest cabins consist of two doubles which can be converted to form one large VIP suite with its own lounge and two twin rooms which can be interconnected via a sliding wall. Both of the twin cabins can be converted into double rooms and also feature Pullman beds should they be needed. This flexibility is ideal for large charter groups or extended families and is one key reason why Driftwood is one of the most popular AMELS yachts currently on the charter market.

Driftwood is available to charter through Y.CO from US$275,000 (€255,000) per week plus expenses.
