Dutch shipyard Amels and Damen has announced the sale of its first Amels 200 superyacht from its Limited Editions Range, to a client represented by Burgess. The 197ft (60m) superyacht yacht is now under construction and scheduled to be delivered to the new owners in spring of 2021. With the exterior design done by Tim Heywood, the Amels 200 follows in the footsteps of the Amels 188, sharing the same naval architecture, high volume and hybrid electrical power technology as its predecessor. The Amels 200 also retained the four-deck elevator and air-conditioned gym on the sun deck.
Building on its sister ship, this latest Amels 200 (one of two currently under construction) features larger aft decks and a broader swim platform. The unique interior design is by Reymond Langton, who incorporated a number of additional sleek touches, such as the full-height windows in the owner’s suite that allows for increased light and improved view while cruising. The accommodation provides for up to 12 guests over six en-suite cabins with a crew of 13 for efficient operations and excellent service while onboard.
The engines provide a top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots. Following this sale, the next available Amels 200 is already in build for fast delivery, along with several other yachts in the Amels Limited Editions range.
