Launched in 2009, yet as beautiful as any recent delivery, the 59.3 m/194 ft yacht Lady Lara illustrates perfectly why Benetti continues to lead the industry in luxury, design, and performance. The product of focused collaboration between Benetti’s Stefano Natucci, the Benetti design team, and interiors by Studio Massori, Lady Lara delivers on a list of exceptional requests, finding graceful, breathtaking solutions to the challenges issued by a discriminating owner.
The Big Picture: A Symphony of Light, Design, and Indulgence
This stunning, classic yacht is a combination of craftsmanship and style affirming that nothing but the best will do. Fendi accessories, leathers, lighting, and loose furnishings create an effortless elegance throughout the yacht. A pleasant balance struck between classic and contemporary style, as only the Italians can provide, is evident in the line of the salon furnishings, the dining table and chairs, the lighting fixtures, the cabins, and exquisite details of each space.
Light and bright, Lady Lara’s white palette is tastefully embellished with gold and silver accents, warm woods, and posh upholstery, emphasizing a sophisticated yet relaxed collection of spaces with comfortable style and sumptuous appointments.
Seeking the Sun: The Top Deck
Atop it all, the sun deck beckons as an active, social space, with a central glazed area housing the gym offering exceptional views. Expansive sun pads boast waterfront real estate, leading to the pool. Equipped with a Jacuzzi and umbrellas, the invitation is irresistible for a morning dip, breakfast with a view, or an evening cocktail under the stars.
A twelve-seat dining table aft entertains graciously in al fresco style, assisted by the bar and posh seating area to starboard. The heli-deck accommodates conversation on the padded seating area, with space reserved for yoga practice, all sheltered by a neatly arranged mosaic of white veils for shade.
The Center of it All: The Lift
Connecting all decks with its dramatic design, an elegant lift accesses all levels. A selection of exotic leathers embrace gold iguana on the main structure and gold crocodile on the handrail, with galuchat skins wrapping the walls, introducing subtle textures into the design mix. Additionally, the “LL” logo, featured on the floor of the lift as well as the lobby, references both the Fendi Luxury Living logo and the yacht’s Lady Lara moniker.
A Versatile Upper Deck
A gleaming stream of silver runs through the upper deck design, playing out in a Fendi-branded aft salon, perfect for informal gatherings. A bar, playing table, and two television screens, framed in Fendi crocodile leather, establish the space as a favorite for reconnecting the events of the day with family and friends after enjoying time on the beach club, in the sauna, or engaging in any of the on board amenities.
With a cruising speed of 12 kts, Lady Lara has a 5,000 nm range, and can speed to 16 kts maximum. She boasts six luxurious cabins housing 12 guests, accommodated by 15 crew. A fully custom yacht with steel hull and aluminum superstructure, her elegant line sweeps a chic profile that does not disappoint.
Recently sold this past spring and renamed Lady Luck, estimated rates run between €300,000 and €350,000 per week during the Mediterranean summer season, and between $350,000 and $390,000 in the Caribbean winter season.
