Inside Look at Benetti’s New Mediterraneo 116′ Mr Loui

Launched towards the end of last year by Italian-based Benetti, the 116.47 foot/35.5 meter Mr Loui is the yachtbuilder’s second Mediterraneao 116′ hull with a third model just delivered to her owners a few weeks ago. Like her sister yachts, Mr Loui boasts a sleek exterior design courtesy of Giorgio M. Cassetta which gives her a thoroughly modern look in keeping with her chic interiors styled by Ezequiel Farca.

Built with her future owner’s needs and desires at the core of the design, Mr Loui offers abundant “settings for the whole family, with large conversation areas.” This is a boat that is made for family cruising and socializing with loved ones. Among the standout communal areas include the vast 262-foot/80-square meter sun deck which boasts two spacious dining areas, a barbecue area and plenty of sun loungers. There is also a cockpit in the bow with an intimate private terrace area.

When it comes to inside spaces, Mr Loui again punches far above her weight. In total there are four double guest cabins located on the lower deck, while the spacious full-beam owner’s suite sits on the bow of the main deck offering impressive panoramic views. These generous accommodation arrangements mean that Mr Loui can receive up to 12 overnight guests on board and is ideal for families with kids thanks to the additional pullman bed found in two of the guest cabins. There is also room for up to seven crew members in the four designated crew cabins.

At the request of the owner, Mr Loui features a lift which can fit up to four guests and facilitates easy access to all of her three decks for young children or more mature guests. The interior also boasts a generous main salon with an attractive formal dining area which has a light and airy feel thanks to the almost 10 foot/3 meter long windows and sliding doors out on to the terrace.

Mr Loui doesn’t disappoint on performance, either, thanks to two CAT ACER C32 Rating D engine which can each deliver 1600 hp. This power gives this carbon fiber and fiberglass yacht a top speed of 15 knots, along with a range of 3000 nautical miles while cruising at 10 knots.

With so much to offer her new owners both in terms of style and substance, it’s no wonder that Benetti’s Mediterraneo 116′ has proven so popular with yacht owners all over the world. The company has recently completed the sale of their fourth hull in Asia.
