Turkish luxury yacht builder Bilgin has just announced the launch of their second Bilgin 156 hull at their facility in Istanbul. The 164 foot/48 metre superyacht follows hot on the heels of her sister ship, M/Y Starburst III, which was sold in March 2019. İsmail Şengün, Chief Executive of Bilgin Yachts explained the meaning behind her name at the launch event; “The Bilgin 156-II is named after the beautiful white flower Lilium as a sign of our promise to the yacht owners: A sunny and happy day on a deck.”

The tri-deck superyacht has a full displacement steel hull and aluminiums superstructure which have been styled by Unique Yacht Design to give Lilium a sleek, modern look which blends harmoniously with her bright and calming interiors which were designed in-house. Throughout the yacht the use of top quality materials and the finest Turkish artisans has produced exquisite communal spaces which are ideal for entertaining and impressing guests.

The onboard amenities include a vast owner’s suite and four guest cabins which can accomodate upto 10 overnight guests, as well as having capacity for a full-time crew of 9. Amongst the ample array of socialising spaces is the sundeck features a large jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads and sofas and the alfresco dining area. As well as her attractive interior and exterior spaces, Lilium also offers good performance capabilities with a top speed of 16 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots.

Lilium will now undergo extensive sea trials before she undertakes her maiden voyage to the South of France in time to make her debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show in September and put in an appearance at the Cannes Yachting Show.
