Clocking in at 279.9ft (85m), a Bold yacht charter is one of the largest and most impressive experiences on the water. This stunning explorer yacht was launched by premier Australian shipyard SilverYachts in 2019 in collaboration with esteemed yacht designer Espen Øino. Best known for their sleek and elegant superyachts like the 252ft/77m Silverfast, Bold represents a radical new vision fusing the Øino’s characteristic effortless grace with outstanding performance and technical supremacy.
Her chic lines and narrow beam make her one of the best-looking circumnavigators out there, but those good looks are backed up by excellent fuel efficiency, a low weight hull, and a very low draft which allows charter guests to get up close and personal with hidden coves or stunning coastal scenery.
Explorer yachts are judged by their adrenaline-pumping amenities, and Bold does not disappoint with a wealth of water toys, multiple audio-visual entertainment systems and a fully-equipped wellness suite. Charter guests wishing to arrive in style or explore further afield can make use of the main deck helipad and 3000-litre refuelling tank which is neatly recessed into the deck.
Water fun is also a prevalent theme of any Bold yacht charter. The main deck is also home to an 8-ton crane used for launching Bold’s large selection of tenders, jet skis, sailing dinghy and even an inflatable floating island. There’s a dedicated gym for guests looking to maintain their fitness regimes as well as a deck jacuzzi and massage room for winding down after a long day of exploring.
Bold’s spacious exterior guest spaces offer the ideal balance between an active explorer lifestyle and some well-deserved rest and relaxation. The sun deck is the ideal spot to soak up some rays with an eight-person jacuzzi and sun loungers set behind glass panels to shelter guests in case of windy conditions. The space also has a cosy fire pit for cooler evenings and can be set up to screen outdoor movies.
Another favourite guest spot is the alfresco dining area on the main deck which converts into a winter garden with wraparound glass panels and air conditioning. Those looking to kick things up a notch will love the vast aft deck helipad space which transforms into a party deck and can even be shaded to protect revellers from the elements.
Stepping inside guests will immediately notice the restrained luxury and sophisticated charm of Bold’s interior spaces which like her exteriors effortlessly combine practicality with aesthetic delight. Styled by SilverYachts’s in-house team, the modern interiors feature soothing natural teak and oak panels, subtle metallic highlights, and bright blue and red accents which bring energy and vibrancy to the overall look. Guests can linger in her roomy high-ceilinged lounge which reminds of a slick city loft apartment with its floor to ceiling windows and breezy open plan layout leading directly out to the winter garden.
Bold’s top-notch amenities and stylish interiors are complemented by outstanding hospitality. Onboard there are eight charming guest cabins which can receive up to 16 overnight guests. The most impressive is the owner’s suite tucked away behind a concealed entrance on the forward upper deck. Conceived as a luxurious private sanctuary for the primary charter guest, there’s a spacious master cabin, his and hers en-suite bathroom, and an elegant lounge with direct access to the deck for fresh air when cruising in warm climates and ease of movement around the yacht.
On the main deck, there are three VIP suites and four double cabins each with an en-suite bathroom featuring Corian and honeycomb marble. The VIP suites boast attractive nautical portholes while the remaining cabins have impressively large geometric windows which frame the spectacular scenery outside while cruising. On the lower deck is the dedicated crew quarters which has capacity for up to 22 crew members.
