Italian superyacht builder Sanlorenzo has been extremely busy as of late and recently announced the successful launch of two yachts on the same day. The SL86 (26.76m) M/Y Stae, a fiberglass planing yacht, was launched at Sanlorenzo’s Ameglia yard with the American owner and his large family in attendance.
While Stae was being launched at the Ameglia yard the SL96 (29.1m) M/Y B&B was launched at the builder’s historic Viareggio yard for its Turkish owner.
Both yachts were built to accommodate their owner’s requests. This attention to detail and customer satisfaction is a core building philosophy that Sanlorenzo has embodied with every yacht built since 1958. Sanlorenzo currently builds its yachts across three different yards, all within 50km of one another. The Ameglia yard accommodates fiberglass yachts between 24 and 28 meters while the Viareggio yard builds larger fiberglass yachts between 29 and 38 meters. The new La Spezia yard is dedicated to building custom metal superyachts from 40 to more than 80 meters. Four hulls of the 460 Expedition superyacht are currently under construction at La Spezia in addition to 2 52m steel superyachts and 1 64m steel superyacht. The La Spezia yard is also preparing to deliver its first 52m steel superyacht, Seven Sins, which was launched in January.
