Clean, light, and beautiful, Christensen Shipyards created a modern classic in the 160.1-foot/48.8-meter motor yacht Chasseur. Launched in 2016, Chasseur is elegance personified. Luxurious but not overdone. Minimalist yet indulgent. Stunning and also comfortable. In a lovely balance so rarely achieved, Chasseur welcomes guests to the yachting lifestyle, immersed in a livable gallery of art, design, and comfort.
Styled Like a ‘Haut Profil’ Rock Star
Chasseur displays jaw-dropping style in a modern yacht, directed by Varo Interior Design’s Tonya Lance. Think handcrafted Santos Rosewood casegoods accented with fine lines of polished stainless steel and panels of pebble-grained shagreen. Backlit bars of crystal agate. Baths of book-matched onyx. Classic teak soles with holly inserts. Milk-glazed sycamore bulkheads, doors, and casings. Materials, comfort, electronics, and entertainment, Chasseur displays tasteful, elegant, contemporary luxury.
Chasseur’s minimalist Zen lines are softened by perfectly curated, placed, and lit art and sculpture. Note the floor to ceiling images of iconic personalities by famous photographers, including Terry O’Neill, Greg Lotus, and Acey Harper. A 1.8-meter Mathieu Nab sculpture executed in dramatic Azove wood. Interesting pieces from Jean Michel Frank and Christian Liaigre provide brilliant artistic focal points.
Connected Like a Globetrotting Entrepreneur
Fast internet, satellite television, Apple TV, Kaleidescape theatre, and Pandora music make Chasseur’s top of industry audiovisual systems fabulously entertaining. 15 iPads, SatCom and cellular communications, with VSAT and VOIP make her extremely convenient. Thoughtfully and discreetly placed viewing screens make it easy to watch, listen, and enjoy excellent media throughout the yacht, from the Sun Deck to the Lower Deck.
Posh Perfection Where It Counts
Silk area rugs underfoot with heated guest suite underfloors ensure every step is divine. Customized lighting throughout by Nathan Orsman’s experienced hand creates magic on board, particularly along the breathtaking floating glass treads of the stairway wrapped in woven leather, the backlit onyx and agate surfaces, and in the custom, mood-setting controls. Hermès and Armani furnishings add cachet to the massive list of desirable elements on board.
Driven by two 1,875 CAT engines, Chasseur has a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. She carries a 12.2-meter Intrepid tow tender loaded with three 350-hp Yamaha engines and a 7.5-meter LX750 Equator tender with a 200-hp Volvo engine. Sundeck Jacuzzi, helicopter landing pad, 4-person elevator serving all decks, and an HVAC system supreme are de rigueur perks.
Six gorgeously appointed staterooms carry 12 guests in complete comfort, with seating for all at the formal Armani Casa dining table with any of six china style choices. Alfresco dining spaces are beautifully finished, adjoined by cleanly-designed and lavishly cushioned lounge areas enhanced by handsomely handcrafted woodwork.
Chasseur’s master suite features an office in book-matched rosewood. The expansive full beam master is made even brighter and lighter with skylights in the dual, book-matched marble baths. The remaining five large and luxurious staterooms on the lower deck feature three king suites aft and two queen suites forward. The VIP suite shows off Jean Michel Frank art and luscious Nancy Stanley linens, with its own marble bath and Jacuzzi tub.
And, Oh, the Toys!
Prime-time play is fast and furious, with two Yamaha jet skis, two SeaBobs, four SUPs, 4 surfboards, two kiteboards with gear, wakeboard, waterskis, and snorkel gear. Chic lounges on the aft decks and sun deck offer front row seats to the action below, with more protected viewing from the untinted, oversized windows of the striking salons on the main and upper decks.
