Named after a mythical Fijian wave ranked by surfers as one of the best on the planet, the mighty 247.1ft (75m) Cloudbreak is the perfect charter explorer yacht for taking on the world in style. Her adventurous owner couldn’t find the yacht he wanted, so the obvious solution was to partner with master superyacht yard Abeking & Rasmussen and Norwegian designer Espen Øino to create an ambitious custom build to his exacting specifications.

The result is a rugged go-anywhere explorer that combines minimalist Scandi charm with an unrivaled set of amenities carefully tailored to the adrenaline junkie. World-class design and outstanding features have made Cloudbreak a favorite on the yachting scene; at the World Superyacht Awards 2017 she picked up not one but two awards for Best Displacement Motor Yacht and Best Interior Layout & Design.

Amenities

Cloudbreak is equipped with everything adventurous charter guests could want from a dedicated helideck which also doubles up as an outdoor dance floor, her own ski room, an open fireplace in the spacious main lounge, and a vast selection of water toys. Charter guests can make use of her numerous paddleboards, waverunners, kayaks, wakeboards and kite surfing equipment or jet off in her fast tenders for skiing excursions, fishing expeditions or coastal exploration. Cloudbreak’s performance stats are also impressive for a yacht of her stature with a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising range of 8750 nautical miles at 12 knots, making her ideal for going off the beaten track for extended periods.

Exterior

Cloudbreak is for an outdoorsman and a lover of nature,” explains Espen Øino, the talented Norwegian-born designer who drew up her statuesque yet chic exterior design. Her solid lines are tough enough to withstand polar conditions while also boasting sleek Scandi grace and charm. It’s immediately clear that outdoor living is as much a priority as adventure onboard Cloudbreak, with a good balance between explorer yacht must-haves like the helipad and more luxurious features like the upper deck plunge pool and private balcony area in the master suite.

When cruising in warmer climes, Cloudbreak offers ample room for catching some rays on the comfortable upper deck loungers and there is even a private crow’s nest for getting that perfect birds-eye photo or simply enjoying a unique moment of complete tranquility.

Interior

Cloudbreak’s chic interiors are the work of French architect Christian Liaigre who has masterfully combined an elegant, pared-back aesthetic with plenty of home comforts which guests will love after a busy day of adventuring and exploring. Her expansive main lounge is the perfect hangout after spending long hours outdoors thanks to the cozy fireplace and charming formal dining area, while on the upper deck her second lounge acts as a winter garden with panoramic views which can either be fully-enclosed and heated or used as an open air space.

On the lower deck, guests can discover a fully-equipped wellness center boasting its own sauna and dedicated massage room which provides the perfect retreat after skiing or watersports. Here there is also a large beach club as well as an onboard gym where guests can keep up their regular fitness routines while enjoying the stunning views out over the sea.

Accommodation

Cloudbreak’s inviting guest cabins are located on the lower deck and the main deck with a total of six suites accommodating up to twelve overnight guests. The highlight is her vast main deck master suite which boasts its own private terraces to both port and starboard as well as the option to sleep outdoors under the stars on a daybed.

The remaining staterooms have been designed in the same chic, minimalist styling found throughout Cloudbreak’s interior spaces, offering a high level of comfort and direct access to the beach club via a dedicated corridor. There is a degree of flexibility with one of the cabins available to be used either by guests or by staff members should charter guests wish to bring a nanny, butler or security personnel. Cloudbreak also has accommodation for up to 22 crew members onboard to take care of every single detail during the charter experience.

Cloudbreak is available to charter through Burgess Yachts from US$845,000 (€750,000) per week plus expenses.
