Palm Beach Motor Yachts has just started construction of the first unit of their new Palm Beach 70 model at their dedicated shipyard in Malaysia. The Australian-based company has already sold two hulls from the series and the launch of the first unit is expected before the end of 2018.

Specialising in high performance yachts with elegant aesthetics, Palm Beach has introduced this new model to build on and develop their popular Palm Beach 65. The new yacht offers more space than its predecessor while retaining features like the warped semi-displacement hull design which allows the boat to plane more efficiently. In fact, the Palm Beach 70 is expected to achieve an impressive top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots thanks to her intelligent exterior design.

According to the Palm Beach Motor Yachts founder and CEO, Mark Richards, “The initial genesis of the 70 came from customer demand, yet we were able to combine these particular requests with our high standards of performance, hull efficiency and aesthetics.”

The new model will feature a customisable interior layout which can accommodate four staterooms and windows in the main salon which can be lowered to connect the space with the cockpit. She will also have a teak swim platform and a tender garage situated under the cockpit and will come with the option of an express model or a flybridge version.

After her launch at the end of this year, the Palm Beach 70 will make her American debut at the Miami Yacht Show in February 2019.
