Following a highly-successful debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, DAMEN’s 151 foot/46 metre Joy Rider is cruising to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for her first appearance in the Americas. Only completed in September 2019 after being built on spec by DAMEN, the Yacht Support vessel has been designed to take the yachting experience to the next level by offering a high level of support for adventurous global cruising.
Onboard she can carry 15 tonnes of equipment which includes tenders, toys, diving equipment and submersibles to enable every imaginable type of ocean exploration. Her roomy 1292 square foot/120 square metre deck area means that there is plenty of space for storing specialist equipment. She boasts three cabins which can receive up to 6 overnight guests in complete comfort, allowing you to rest and unwind after a long day of adventures at sea.
She also has capacity for up to 7 crew and staff members which could include pilots or wildlife experts. With a cruising range of 5000 nautical miles at 12 knots, she is suitable for lengthy expeditions to far-flung destinations. She has a watermaking capacity of 1,136 US gallons/4300 litres per day and freshwater tanks which can store 5,283 US gallons/20,000 litres so she can remain self-sufficient while at sea.
Joy Rider joins DAMEN’s 14 deliveries to date in the Yacht Support Range which range from 151-246 feet, and she is offered for sale now with immediate delivery following the show and low maintenance costs for her future owner thanks to her sturdy design. DAMEN is showcasing Joy Rider at FLIBS alongside the AMELS flagship M/Y Here Comes The Sun which is the largest superyacht in the AMELS fleet at 272 feet/83 metres.
