The new Dubai-based studio GR Design House has unveiled their first yacht concept, the 144 foot/44 metre “Project Bandida”. Founded by two ambitious partners, Josh Rodriguez and Franco Gianni, the studio marked their first foray into the competitive world of yacht design with this breathtaking full displacement steel motor vessel. Her smart, masculine lines have been created with both elegant Mediterranean ports and adventurous Caribbean cruising in mind, while her range of 5000 nautical miles cruising at 16 knots makes her an ideal choice for extended cruises spent discovering secluded bays or gorgeous remote islands.

Both Josh and Franco have spent many years on board yachts, so they immediately set out to design their perfect yacht with a strong focus on guest comfort and practical details as well as making a splash on the yacht design scene. Thoughtful features include her tri-deck appearance which conceals her raised pilothouse design. This neat decision gives the impression that Bandida is far bigger than her 144 feet, creating a very roomy main saloon and ample space for sunbathing and relaxing on her large sun deck and generous al fresco aft lounge space.

Made with outdoor living in mind, other key features onboard Bandida include her well-appointed beach club, large swimming pool on the fly bridge and a tender garage which will house her stylish custom-designed 6.5 metre tender. Bandida’s guest accommodation is also on the generous side with a master suite on the main deck that boasts a foldout balcony and four further cabins on the lower deck. In total she can accommodate up to 12 guests and has a roomy crew area as well, with capacity for eight crew members to take care of every little detail.

Franco Gianni, one half of the GR Design House duo, remarked that, “We want this yacht to appeal to all types of yachtsman, the family oriented type all the way to the ultimate party going type. The yacht will be a great charter yacht based on the fact that she is so versatile.”
