Dynamiq has just unveiled what might just be their coolest superyacht to date, the sleek and modern GTT 160, which combines cutting-edge aesthetics by Dobroserdov Design with luxurious onboard amenities you would only expect to find on a much larger yacht. Highlights include the foredeck helipad, 120sqm beach club with a 12-person hot tub, hammam, sauna and 40sqm gym, and a spacious owner’s suite complete with two side balconies. In total, the model can accommodate up to 12 guests in six comfortable cabins and also features an upper deck lounge and large sun deck for socializing and entertaining.

“The idea was to create the most attractive proposal for a superyacht of just under 50 meters,” says Sergei Dobroserdov, Dynamiq founder and CEO. “There are so many 50-meter yachts below 500GT available, but they all look very similar with pretty much the same functionality. We asked ourselves ‘What can we bring to the market that makes more sense for our clients?’ The answer was to focus on modern owners’ priorities and leave the less important things aside.

“So we decided to design the GTT 160 with the accent on the key factors: well-being, efficiency and price. In terms of naval architecture, we selected a slender hull with a long waterline that is much more efficient and comfortable than a short, wide one. So rather than maximizing the interior volume, we analyzed everything an owner wants or needs in terms of general arrangement and features. We then arrived at a concept that provides the motion comfort of a 55-meter yacht with a conventional flared bow.”

As well as her minimalist chic and excellent guest amenities, the GTT also delivers when it comes to onboard tech and performance on the water. Her eye-catching fast-displacement hull has been designed by the Dutch company Van Oossanen Naval Architects which specializes in hydrodynamics. To achieve maximum efficiency and speed, the naval architects have added an aft Hull Vane which adds lift while underway. This gives the GTT 160 a top speed of 17 knots with the standard MAN 6-cylinder (537 kW) engines and a range of 4000 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots.

As with other members of the Dynamiq family, the GTT 160 can be customized extensively to suit her new owner’s exact requirements. One such adaption is the S version which comes fitted with a pair of powerful MAN V12-1800 engines which give this model a top speed of 23 knots. There is also the option to add a hybrid system which includes an emission-free electric mode enabling silent cruising at up to 8 knots.
