Since its stunning debut at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, one of the hottest superyachts on the circuit has been the marvelous M/Y Solo, which was launched by Tankoa. Coming in at 236.2ft (72m) in length, there’s no shortage of space aboard this glamorous superyacht and you’ll find onboard every amenity you could possibly need during your charter experience from a massage room and grand piano to a helipad and enormous beach club. As well as offering a super luxurious onboard experience Solo also delivers on environmental credentials, with the yacht being awarded the RINA Green Plus Platinum Award last year for her eco-friendly design features.

For those who are looking for a more lively charter experience, her touch-and-go helipad is the perfect way to arrive and can be converted into a dance floor. The day after a big night her large beach club is equipped with a bar and a full hammam which makes it the ideal place for chilling out and recharging the batteries before setting out to explore chic Mediterranean towns or secluded coves and beaches. Her three garages house two 7.5m custom build tenders and a vast array of water toys.

Solo’s other key strengths are her environmental credentials and cruising capabilities. Solo has a range of 4000 nautical miles when cruising at 15.7 knots, but her systems include a CO monitoring system which allows her captain to find the perfect speed to minimise emissions. Her engines are also equipped with Eco Spray SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to further reduce emissions.

In addition to an excellent range of onboard amenities, Solo also delivers on good looks and performance. Bearing striking similarities to her sister ship, the 227.4ft (69m) Suerte which was built by Tankoa in 2015, Solo’s minimalist and chic exterior lines are the work of Francesco Paszkowski.

Charter guests will love relaxing in her ample outdoor spaces like the aft deck with a gorgeous infinity pool which is the ideal spot for whiling away the afternoon with a cocktail or two. Her charming sundeck is another top spot for relaxing and offers stunning panoramic views and a selection of comfortable loungers and sofas, making it perfect for a sundowner drinks reception or simply hanging out with family and friends.

The sumptuous interiors were influenced by Margherita Casprini who worked in collaboration with Paszkowski. Below decks the designers have used rich materials in dark and light tones to create a cosy, luxurious feel which contrasts with the fresh and breezy styling of her outdoor spaces, marking a clear distinction between these two different zones. The decor is very masculine with all seatings from Fendi Casa, as well as elegant touches such as dark stones and fabrics, which create a true contrast with the exterior.

The main deck hosts a lovely family room with cutting-edge entertainment facilities, as well as a central dining room that enjoys the sound of silence and oversized side windows for dramatic effect. The upper-deck is where you will find the wide-body panoramic saloon with fireplace, bar and piano. Look a little further and you will stumble across the beauty saloon and wheelhouse with captain’s cabin and radio room.

Solo’s luxurious accommodation offer includes a total of six cabins which can receive up to 12 guests. There’s an incredibly spacious master suite with its own dedicated private deck, panoramic views, and office,  a generous VIP suite, and a further four double cabins of which two can be converted into twins according to the needs of each charter group. If needs be, the owner’s office and massage room can also be converted into additional cabins to provide more space and both are equipped with ensuite bathrooms.

M/Y Solo is available to charter via Northrop & Johnson from $733,500 (€650,000) per week plus expenses.
