Turkish superyacht builder Bilgin has announced that its highly anticipated 156′ (48m) superyacht is scheduled for delivery this July. “Each of our creations retains the distinctive signature of Bilgin Yachts’ rich heritage while pushing the boundaries. The Bilgin 156, thanks to the cooperative work between the Bilgin team and Unique Yacht Design, is another example of that: excellent quality and great performance, making it an appealing alternative,” said Bilgin Yachts CEO, Ismail Sengun.
With an overall length of 47.6m or 156 feet the new Bilgin 156 is built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and comes in just under 500 tons at 446 tons when fully loaded. It is powered by twin MTU 12V2000 M72-1B engines providing a cruising speed of 12 knots and top speed of 16 knots. At 12 knots the superyacht has a trans-oceanic cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles. The powerful exterior lines and naval architecture have been created by Unique Yacht Design while the systems design was done by Unique Yacht in collaboration with the Bilgin Yacht Design Team. H2 Yacht Design has created the sumptuous and inviting interior.
Bilgin Yachts Project Manager Sencer Guneer had the following to say about the new Bilgin 156, “Bilgin 156 has the advantage to get registered for commercial use under 500 gross tons while being able to navigate under unrestricted service. She also gives the opportunity to her owner to satisfy minimum safe manning requirements with less crew. This provides lower operating costs.”
The Bilgin 156’s interior accommodations include 4 guest cabins, a master cabin, captains cabin and 4 additional crew cabins. There are two Jacuzzi’s onboard for guests to relax in addition to a beach club area and tender garage area.
