Columbus Yachts has just released details of their brand-new Classic 50 superyacht, joining the existing 80-meter, 100-meter and 120-meter yachts in the Columbus Classic range. “Her timeless exterior lines remind those of the bigger sisters of the Columbus Classic range, including the renowned 80-meter motor yacht Dragon delivered in 2019,” commented Sergio Cutolo, founder of Hydro Tec, who was responsible for her exterior design. In keeping with her sister ships, the new design features classic lines etched onto a solid steel hull and aluminum superstructure.
Her stylish hull is characterized by gently flared bow shapes to minimize drag and large windows wherever possible to maintain a sense of connection with the sea wherever guests are on the yacht. This obsession with creating the best guest experience possible continues throughout the yacht, with large and flexible outdoor socializing and entertaining spaces located across her three decks. These areas can be arranged in varying ways to accommodate different uses, with ample room for lounging and sunbathing, a swimming pool, and a dedicated bar with an attractive alfresco dining area.
Her interior spaces have been carefully designed to maximize the space available to guests. Highlights include her two lounges located on the main and upper decks which are ideal for enjoying quality time with family and friends or entertaining guests. In total, she has six guest cabins configured as four double cabins, a VIP cabin and a generous master suite.
Guests will also be able to make use of her large beach club with a foldout swim platform for quick dips or playing around with her water toys. This area will also house her tender in a garage set below the deck. Columbus Yachts has released indicative figures on her performance stats with an estimated top speed of 14 knots and a range of over 4000 nautical miles.
