MasterCraft’s newest tender, the X21, will launch for the European market at Boot Düsseldorf on the first day of the Jan. 21-29, 2017 show. Snugged up in between the XT20 and XT23, the bespoke XT21 offers a number of new features and options, tailoring this middleweight crossover to meet owners’ ideal specifications.
The new hull delivers improved handling with minimal bow rise and peak performance. The custom Gen2 Surf System ensures touchscreen-perfect curls and lips for all types of watersports, from wakeboarding and wakesurfing to waterskiing, tubing, and all towables. The DockStar Handling System with flanking rudder gives even novice captains solid skills in tight docking situations, making a master of anyone at the helm.
The 14-passenger cockpit boasts big storage, keeping a clear deck with space to spare. Upholstered with Cool Feel vinyl, the surfaces remain cool-to-the-touch even in hot, midday sun. Cordova Coolers can be installed beneath seats, and an expanded palette of gelcoat colors and flake patterns gives the exterior new flash.
A Yanmar 8LV diesel powers up beautifully to tow, haul, transport, or sightsee. Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK, highlights the advantage of this diesel powered tender’s ability to refuel at sea, remarking, “We’re consistently able to show that diesel power is every bit as good as petrol for sports boats. It gives all the advantages of economy, durability and reliability, with no loss of power.”
