Italian luxury yachtbuilder Mondomarine has just revealed details of their brand-new Classic series. The range which will include 43, 50 and 63 metre models all built as semi-displacement aluminium hulls and a limited draft to facilitate easy access to exclusive Caribbean destinations and secluded beaches.

The prestigious shipyard, which is now part of Palumbo Superyachts, has kicked off the series with the 164 foot Classic 50 which features design work from Luca Dini Studio who also took the lead on designing Mondomarine’s new Discovery 57 model. “The 60-metre M/Y Sarastar delivered by Mondomarine in 2017 was my starting point,” says Luca Dini. ‚ÄúSpeaking of external lines, our target was an evolution, yes, but without distorting the original design of that boat characterized by a sporty and elegant footprint with a combination of corners and curves, sinuous shapes and angles that, far from being strident, was quite harmonious. In short, a creative review that,¬†paradoxical as it may seem, translates into a Modern Classic”.

The new model will boast comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests in four guest cabins on her lower deck and a spacious owner’s suite spanning the main deck and boasting a private balcony on each side. There will also be ample crew quarters with enough space for 10 professional crew members to take care of guests’ every need while onboard.

As well as the good looks to rival any other superyachts in port, the Classic 50 comes with an impressive set of performance statistics for a vessel of her size. A pair of MTU 12V4000M73L engines will give her a top speed of 22 knots and range of 3,500 miles at 12 knots which should allow her new owners to explore exotic destinations to their hearts’ content without the need to worry about re-fuelling.
