Turning heads at the Dusseldorf Boat Show earlier this month was the brand new 48 wallytender design which revisits the brand’s roots. One of the world’s biggest boat shows was the perfect opportunity to introduce this thrilling restyled version of the very first wallytender. Like the original, the brand-new 48 wallytender will be fast, light-weight, incredibly stylish. The first unit is already in construction at the Ferretti Group’s shipyard in Italy and is set to be launched in June.
For a 48 footer, the new wallytender will offer an exceptional amount of space as well as some serious performance capability. Power will come from two Volvo Penta IPS 650 engines which will give her a top speed of 38 knots plus a range of 300 nautical miles while cruising at 30 knots. She’s also incredibly safe and welcoming for families thanks to the non-slip teak decking and deep bulwarks which give you the secure feeling of being “in” rather than merely “on” the boat.
Ideal as either a standalone boat or a fun tender for a superyacht, the 48 wallytender offers plenty of space to simply relax with family and friends on the ample sun loungers or dining area. There’s also a galley unit, a shower, and a cabin below deck for children or adults who feel the need for a nap.
Wally founder Luca Bassani commented that, “The new 48 wallytender is proof that our Wally DNA – signature design, proven performance, fun and flexibility – continues under the partnership with Ferretti Group. Ever since we entered the power market in 2001, the wallytender has been a pure expression of the joy of open-air living on the sea and the sheer pleasure of day boating. Today this concept is further enhanced by the restyled version of the original wallytender, which we are proud to introduce to the market.”
