The brand-new MY Bintador from Tankoa Yachts is all set to make her debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show which takes place over the 25th to 28th of September in Port Hercules. Bearing a striking similarity to her sister yacht, MY Vertige, who was the first yacht in Tankoa’s 164 foot/50 metre series, Bintador has been designed by the talented Francesco Paszkowski who is based in Florence in Italy. Her light and airy aesthetics continue in her spacious interior spaces which have been styled by Paszkowski in collaboration with the Italian architect Magherita Casprini.

Notable distinctions between Bintador and her predecessor, Vertige, include the new yacht’s clever hybrid propulsion system which boasts a total of four different modes. She has twin MTU 8V4000M54 engines and two 300 kW electric motors which allow her to operate in Diesel-Electric mode, Hybrid mode, Full-speed mode, and Traditional mode which uses both diesel engines for propulsion. This flexibility gives her a top speed of 18 knots as well as offering an impressive range of 4900 nautical miles while cruising at 10.5 knots using her electric motors powered by her two variable speed generators.

In addition to her smart propulsion system, Bintador offers a wealth of amenities to keep even the most demanding guest satisfied while onboard. In total she has five comfortable guest cabins including two VIP cabins and two twin cabins which can accommodate up to ten guests. The spacious owner’s suite is full-beam and includes a fold-out balcony on both sides of the yacht. On her roomy deck there is a touch-and-go helipad, stylish beach club and swim platform, and a sundeck with jacuzzi on the upper deck.

Other inviting features include the al fresco lounge area on the main deck which is the ideal spot for enjoying a relaxed family dinner or for casual entertaining with its large U-shaped sofa, coffee tables, and fully-stocked bar. On the upper deck there is a formal dining area and an attractive sky lounge which makes the perfect retreat in cooler weather, while the foredeck is home to a private solarium.
