A spacious new profile at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2016, will feature the world premiere of Otam’s 35m Custom Range Gipsy, displayed on the T-Pontoon. Building on experience with the Millennium Line, and continuing to engage Naval Architect Umberto Tagliavini, with interiors by Tommaso Spadolini, the Otam design boasts a bespoke layout designed to complement the lifestyle of an experienced Italian owner.
Three decks, with four VIP en suite cabins on the lower deck, social spaces on the main deck, and a private owner’s deck stocked with panoramic views from every angle underscore the exceptional volume of this 295 GT semi-displacement yacht.
The 40 square meter main deck salon with movie theater and full beam 25.5ft/7.8m dining area forward are served by a fully furnished galley and 25 square meter pantry. Day heads are placed on all decks for guest convenience and cabin privacy. The lower deck features four crew cabins with washrooms, a laundry, and storage areas accessed separately by crew to ensure high levels of attentive, unobtrusive service.
The SD 35 is expected to deliver a top speed of 20 kts, with a 2,000 nm range at 11 kts and a 7.2 ft/2.2m draft, allowing exploration into shallower waters where many yachts of this size dare not attempt. Embracing the look of a small explorer, graced with the finish of fine Italian craftsmanship, Gipsy illustrates the capabilities of Otam’s full custom line. With 60 years of expertise in yacht design, refining yacht profiles for a luxurious combination of speed, beauty, and efficiency backing this premiere, it seems the MYS T dock could be a very busy place.
