There’s a saying about less being more – and the 100ft (30.5m) S/Y Chrisco might just stand as a testament to this. Built by CNB Yachts in 2009, the iconic sailing yacht is now for sale with a significant price reduction of over 1.4 million EUR, bringing her new price to €4,495,000 VAT paid (approx. $4,915,000 USD). She remains in fantastic condition, having had a complete repaint and brand new teak decks, air-conditioning and electronics in 2016. This vessel’s sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Luca Brenta & Co and the interior has been designed by Wetzels Brown Partners.

Chrisco’s striking minimalist design is apparent not only in her ultra-modern interior but also on the fabulous decks, where daring technical solutions, such as concealing the halyard winches beneath carbon panels in the deck, have led to the creation of an unmistakably sleek, uncluttered profile. The glazed coach roof boasts 75 panels of laminated glass, bonded onto a structure of carbon bars, which lends a futuristic appearance that allows in natural light to brighten up the monochromatic black and white design.  When inside, the Rig is always visible through the glazing.

The flexible and modern living spaces can comfortably accommodate up to six overnight guests in three cabins, with the luxury of being able to sleep up to nine if required. The functional design allows each of the vessel’s beds to double as sofas, allowing the spaces to be fully utilized in a variety of situations, even with fewer guests onboard. These stunning accommodations are highlighted by a spacious Owner’s cabin, which has a pair of double beds pushed against each wall, a generous walk-in closet and a bathroom.

As comfortable and luxurious as she is, it’s impossible to forget about the impressive sailing pedigree. Its outstanding speed and lightweight frame were contractual requirements in its design, and several weight-saving measures were implemented, such as both the tree and the hull made in carbon composites. Powered by 1 Cummins (QSB5.9M) 399hp diesel engines and propelled by her single screw propeller sailing yacht, she’s capable of a top speed of 12 knots and comfortably cruises along at 10.5 knots. Her water tanks store around 1,800 litres of fresh water.
