Ahead of this week’s Monaco Yacht Show which runs from the 25th to 28th of September 2019, Royal Huisman has unveiled a new yacht design concept, the 180 foot/55 meter Sangi which has been billed as a “smart’ superyacht. Thanks to her lightweight aluminium hull and range of propulsion options including hybrid and fully-electric, the new Royal Huisman concept expertly combines performance and comfort with a lower environmental impact.

Named after the Esperanto word for “change”, Sangi’s bold design is aimed at making a statement and getting heads turning wherever she goes. Her eye-catching navy exterior is the work of Cor D Rover with naval architecture by Van Oossanen who helped create her striking and highly-efficient bow design.

Turning to her luxurious interiors, Sangi’s layout has been thoughtfully designed to maximise living space by limiting the hull volume given over to machinery and operations. Her design offers ample opportunities for customisation with her new owner invited to stamp their own mark on her layout as well as tweaking her propulsion systems and styling throughout. There is even the possibility to remodel the superstructure in accordance with her owner’s vision.

Possibilities for her layout can include five guest suites which can accommodate up to 10 overnight guests, a dedicated cinema room, and a stunning master suite. Tenders are designed to be stored on her foredeck, freeing up yet more space which can be devoted to entertaining and socialising spaces. More information on Sangi’s unique features and interior spaces will be revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show later this week.
