Amongst the exciting debuts at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show was the much-anticipated arrival of M/Y Cecilia. After extensive weeks of sea trials, the elegant WIDER 165 yacht set off from her berth in Ancona to make her entrance in the super yacht scene in Monaco. At 165 feet/50 metres, Cecilia is currently WIDER’s largest superyacht model and she has been built entirely with aluminium to allow enhanced customisation possibilities and to reduce the vessel’s environmental footprint. The lightweight nature of aluminium helps to keep down emissions while offering excellent performance, and also allows for shorter production timescales.

The Ancona-based shipyard WIDER pride themselves on leading the yachting industry in innovation and Cecilia is no exception. To craft this remarkable vessel, WIDER have collaborated with naval architect Sydac by Lelio Falletta and Italprojects by Fulvio De Simoni. One unique feature onboard is the use of cutting-edge technology and know-how to ensure her engines are nearly silent while underway. This is achieved thanks to a hybrid propulsion system along with a544kWh Lithium polymer battery bank and Azimuthal pods. She is expected to achieve a maximum speed of 14.1 knots and an impressive range of 5400 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots.

Cecilia has been built with her new owner’s needs and requirements as a top priority, so her layout boasts large, home-from-from living spaces, a helicopter pad on the foredeck, and ample space for her owner’s extensive collection of water toys. Other highlights include generous outdoor seating areas which can double as a dance floor, a dedicated gym and sauna, and a jacuzzi on the sun deck.

Cecilia’s interiors are no less stunning than her appealing outdoor spaces thanks to WIDER’s collaboration with IdeaeItalia and the owner’s own architect. Throughout the styling is a combination of bright and breezy along with bolder pops of colour due to the use of top quality leathers, Italian marble and sanded oak. The owner’s suite is a real masterpiece with a gorgeous private terrace offering stunning views out over the sea and there are also four guest suites on the lower deck which each have en-suites. In total she can accommodate up to 10 overnight guests and she also has capacity for 11 crew members in the crew quarters on the lower deck.

Cecilia is accompanied by a sleek WIDER 32 limousine tender which can be stored in her spacious beach club area. Elegant enough to grace the chic marinas of the South of France and sporty enough for adventurous cruising, this cleverly-designed tender is ideal for relaxed shore excursions. Such has been the popularity of the WIDER 32 that she is spotted all over the globe both as a superyacht tender and a stand-alone pocket-sized cruiser.
