Italian shipyard Tankoa recently announced the sale of a new sister ship to the 50 meter Vertige which was delivered to her owner last summer. As with Vertige, S502 Elettra’s striking exterior and interior design are the work of Francesco Paszkowski and her clever layout with separate crew corridors offers high levels of privacy for guests without compromising the ability of the crew to move about the yacht and provide an impeccable level of service.

Like her sister yacht, the S502 Elettra will boast five guest cabins and a spacious master suite equipped with a dedicated study, lounge, and two folding balconies. Her outdoor spaces will include a lower deck beach club, a jacuzzi and bar on the fly-deck and comfortable al fresco dining and lounge areas on the main and upper decks.

The main divergence between Vertige and her younger sister will be S502 Elettra’s hybrid propulsion system which boasts four operational modes to allow maximum flexibility for different cruising modes. For example, when in Diesel Electric Mode she will achieve an impressive range of 4900 nautical miles while cruising at 10.5 knots, whereas under Full Speed Mode using her two main engines and generators which supply her two electric motors she can reach a top speed of 18 knots.

The S502 Elettra was sold to her new European owner with the assistance of Giancarlo Mussino from SINOS S.A. and she is scheduled to be launched in February 2019 and delivered no later than May 2019.
