Tankoa Yachts has just revealed their brand-new concept, the 203.40ft (62.5m) TLV62, which has been created in collaboration with Italian yacht designer Luca Vallebona. Based on Tankoa’s 197ft (60m) technical platform, the new design combines gorgeous soft exterior lines with spacious interior spaces connected to the sea via large windows. Her elegant window shapes and airy terraces add an air of grace and also call to mind classic sailing yachts.
“We decided to collaborate with Luca Vallebona because in the project he presented we recognized new and creative solutions that are very different from what we have proposed to date,” said Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa sales & business development manager. “This collaboration means Tankoa can expand its range of superyachts aimed at those customers that are increasingly looking for innovative and unique solutions.”
“Most of the time on superyachts the main salon takes up a lot of space but is rarely used,”says Vallebona.“So I brought the living area outside, reduced the size of the dining room, and put a smaller TV lounge with its own AV rack room and the main exterior dining table on the upper deck aft.” Highlights include the quirky asymmetric pool which brings a dash of character to the aft deck and vast owner’s suite with an impressive 305ft square feet of space including an office, walk-through wardrobe, and ensuite bathroom.
As well as the owner’s suite, there are four additional double cabins on the lower deck and also a full-beam VIP suite on the upper deck. Guests can enjoy relaxing in the large open-air salon, which features a fire pit for cooler nights, or the sun deck with full alfresco dining facilities. The TLV62 will be powered by twin CAT 3512 engines which will give her a top speed of 16.5 knots and a range of 4500 nautical miles at 12 knots.
