Luxury Italian boatbuilder Tankoa Yachts has just launched their stunning 236 foot/72 meter yacht Solo earlier this month in Genoa. Her sleek exterior lines and interior styling are the work of Francesco Paszkowski with collaboration from Margherita Casprini on the decor.

Sharp-eyed yacht lovers might notice the striking similarities with Tankoa’s 226 foot/69 metre Suerte which was launched in 2015, although Solo is slightly longer and boasts features like the underwater exhausts which provide more usable living space and an extended waterline which gives her a top speed of over 17 knots. Solo is powered by two 2,480hp Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines which give her a range of 6000 nautical miles when cruising at 12.5 knots.

Highlights on board include the breathtaking 6 meter swimming pool on the aft deck, large beach club complete with its own hammam and the charming winter garden which is the ideal spot for entertaining. Guest accommodation is divided between six cabins which can receive up to 12 overnight guests. The owner’s suite is set on its own private deck with a study, 180 degree views from the full length windows and direct access to a touch and go helipad on the aft deck. There is also capacity in the crew quarters for up to 18 staff members to ensure everything runs smoothly onboard.

Solo’s new owner is a repeat Tankoa client who will take delivery of his second yacht from the company in November of this year after Solo makes her debut on the world yachting stage at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Tankoa’s CEO, Euro Contenti, remarked, “As much as we were happy to see the client so happy and excited on the dock together with his family, we are truly proud to have developed such trustful relationship with such knowledgeable owner. Solo will be exhibited in Monaco and will surely be a show stopper”.
