This graceful sweep of form and function in motor yacht design is stunning on both accounts. She is big. She is fast. She is beautiful. And, she is functional beyond belief. During delivery to the owner, Motor Yacht Lady M sailed across the North Atlantic in less than eight days.
This Palmer Johnson 64m/210ft Nuvolari Lenard design puts 9,000 HP to good use. Going from zero to 28 kts in a minute and 28 seconds, she effortlessly maintains that pace all day with a 2,200 mile range. Aided by the fine bow entry with vertical stance, and the strongly chined hull, she loses just a single knot when fully loaded, and her five silent Seakeeper gyro stabilizers make her one of the most comfortable crafts regardless of conditions.
Lady M’s six staterooms are all comfortably and stylishly appointed, with the owner’s suite and a lower deck VIP suite both spanning the full beam. Expanding balconies create additional outdoor space on both. Warm interior surfaces of high gloss rosewood, wenge, and oak are complemented by leather, glass, and metal composites. The professional laundry, working galley, and well-appointed crew space for 15 are graced with natural light, and graciously finished in the fashion of the rest of the boat.
The long foredeck holds an 8.3m/27ft Pascoe tender, which, when removed, converts to an 11,000-gallon saltwater pool. The teak deck functions as a touch and go heli pad, accommodating larger craft via hinged rail and reinforced hatches. Four personal watercraft are housed in two additional bays, with a third concealing the crane. A broad, stable, scissor-style passerelle at the transom ensures safe boarding.
The aft deck freshwater Jacuzzi is a mesmerizing work of art in glass-covered mosaic tile. Overlooking the large swim platform, it is a pleasant addition to Lady M’s charms. An outdoor gym hovers just below the radar mast, with a private workout area in the owner’s suite.
