It is so new, many of its components don’t exist. Yet. On the rough edge of the design curve, Vripack is busy smoothing out the details of a fabulous new yacht, bringing revered Dutch yachtbuilder Jongert along for the ride. As the team puts together a stunning display of innovation, technology, and style, they are reexamining the construction process, intending to build better boats faster. Expecting to shave 25 percent off time in build for an 85-meter yacht by 2019, it is with this delightful 47-meter yacht, based on Vripack’s Flow concept, that innovation becomes the norm.
The yacht will accommodate 16 guests, house 11 crew, and sport a 6-meter jet stream pool with an adjacent Jacuzzi, and a top deck gym and sports bar that claim 28 square meters of real estate. She will also tuck in a 28-square meter limo tender. The build is for an experienced owner and captain seeking to cruise from ocean to ocean while nested into a family yacht that feels like home.
From the mooring system which operates without lines or hooks, to the diesel electric pod drive propulsion system equipped with pods from Veth, and the distinctive pattern of hexagonal lights sparkling through exterior cutouts to port and starboard, this design is the result of Vripack’s trendspotting. They continually build a database of images capturing innovative things from every industry and every corner of the world that serve as muse for their own revolutionary work.
Look for this rawth combination of raw + smooth at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, and for both Vripack and Jongert to catapult ahead of the crowd integrating form, function, and fashion into highly technical ships envied across all seven seas.
